What is the difference between Qué and cuál?

when should I use qué, and when should I use cuál? It is better to give some examples.

que is what, cual is which. e.g.: "en que bar estas?" and "en cual bar estas?" can both be used to ask "which/what bar are you in?" just like in english

i agree with the previous answer in general Que is used in the meaning what (general definitions,questions), and cual means which (more specific). look at this web site to get better idea of the common usages- http://www.spanishgra...nish.htm
