dialect in France vs. in Canada

There is a whoooole lot of differences between Quebec French and "regular" french. Actually, most of the time it's hard to understand what they say overthere, in Quebec. Huuum a few examples : For toilets, we french say "les toilettes" and they say "la bécosse" (from english Backhouse, because there is lots of english roots in their french), in belgium french they would say "LA toilette".
For to go shopping, we'd say "Faire du shopping", "Faire les magasins" ou "Faire ses courses" and they'd say "Magasiner" (magasin=shop).
For sink we say "évier" and they say "cygne"(sounds like sink!) which actually means swan, but you will find out that quebec french is a lot of old french, or english roots or confusion of dialects. You also have to know that they are kind of denying using english words, like they use "courriel" for "courrier électrique" (e-mail), and we french use e-mail or mail. They translate films and series english titles, as an example they translated Dirty Dancing in "Danse Lascive". It's pretty contradictive.
There really is a lot of differences, I can't tell you more by memory.
